Using the Book of Hope

There are two things that bring power to your witness:

      1. God’s Word-God’s Word is the most powerful witness that you can give your friends who do not know Christ. This is where the Book of Hope assists you. It presents the message and story of Jesus as given in the four gospels. It is the Good News of Jesus.

  2. Holy Spirit-The Holy Spirit is the one who convinces a person to accept Christ. The power to witness comes from Him. (See Acts 1:8) That is why it is important to pray for the people to whom you are going to give a copy of the Book of Hope. The Holy Spirit is the one who opens the hearts of people to the good news. Ask God to open the hearts of your friends to the gospel. Ask your parents or another Christian adult to partner with you in prayer for those friends.

Ideas you may want to use when giving out the Book of Hope:

4 Steps + 1 for easy distribution

Take these simple steps to share your faith with your friends using the Book of Hope

1. Don’t Be SCARED.
Pray for a “God” time to share.

2. Go Ahead & SHARE.
Give the Book of Hope to your friend.

3. Remember to CARE.
Pray for your friend.

4. Take the DARE.
Have a follow up talk with your friend.

5. Have a SPARE.
Stock up with the Book of Hope in your locker.

Write a note in the Book of Hope to the person before you give them the Book of Hope.

When you give a person a Book of Hope say something like, “I would like you to read some of this book, it is about my best friend.”
